Alan Lange serves as Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of Grits Capital (a Mississippi-based venture capital firm) and MuniStrategies (a NMTC allocatee founded in 2006). He spends a considerable amount of his time with both firms on business strategy, deal origination and fundraising. Alan is an experienced business entrepreneur and has been involved in the startup, capital formation and management of over a dozen companies since 1999 and has helped raise over $34M for projects over the past fifteen years. He is a past founder and CEO of Redundant Networks, Inc. Prior to Redundant, he worked in a variety of publicly traded technology start-up companies.
Alan received his BA in Economics with Honors in 1993 from Millsaps College and later received a MBA from Millsaps in 1996. He is a 2003 graduate of the Leadership Mississippi program and a 2004 graduate of Leadership Jackson. Recently, he served on Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant's Transition Committee for Jobs on the Mississippi Works Commission. In 2005, he was also named to Mississippi's Top 40 Under 40 as chosen by the Mississippi Business Journal.
He is also active in community affairs through a number of groups including the Else School Advisory Board at Millsaps College. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Boys and Girls Club of Central Mississippi. He currently serves on the Capital Campaign for the Children's Hospital of Mississippi. He was also named by Governor Phil Bryant in 2017 to the Board of the Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services, which oversees all information technology and telecommunications to Mississippi governmental agencies.
